Hi there, I’m Emma! I’m the overly excited Upholstery lady behind Little Bird Upholstery. I love this trade & enjoy working on vintage furniture in particular. Most vintage furniture will need to be stripped back to the frame, having the layers rebuilt & then finally, the application of new fabric, using wonderful colours, patterns & textures.

I believe that building a space we love, can have a profound effect on how we feel & operate. My interest in Furniture Upholstery sparked when I spotted a charming little vintage chair, on the side of the road, it had me thinking about how great it would be to have the skills to fix the chair!

With artistic genes in our family, it made sense to embark on a journey retraining in a creative profession. I use both practical skills (for the messy parts) & artistic skills (for the fun parts) of this job. If you’ve been following me on social media, you will know that I love sharing the process, just as much as the finished pieces. I work to a standard as if each piece were to end up in my own home, all work is undertaken with integrity & care.
