Frequently Asked Questions
-
We offer furniture recover & reupholstery. Whilst we primarily work on vintage pieces, we also take on projects for newer furniture too.
-
It’s pretty simple! Recovers are just that, a replacement of the fabric only. The old fabric is removed & replaced with new fabric.
Reupholstery is a bit more serious! You will almost always know when something needs the full works, springs start to fail, webbing slackens, layers flatten or collapse completely or the frame might need some repairs, either way we’ll give you a price for both options so you know both ends of the scale & what you could potentially be up for if your piece needs the full works, sometimes it might sit somewhere in between & we can let you know what the ‘must do’s’ are.
-
We’re a solo operated business, focussing on one-of-a-kind pieces, we like to use water-based glues where possible & sustainable practices where we can. Foam offcuts are sent away for other industry applications.

You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within a few business days.

Upholstery work can be very labour intensive, pricing varies from piece to piece. We will be able to provide an estimate on both recover & reupholstery & we should be able to gauge what your piece needs. Sometimes it might be a case that your piece might sit somewhere in the middle (price wise) & we can let you know if this is the case for your project.
